Torture on Trial,, a film that addresses the use of torture at Guantanamo Bay and US policies on the use of torture. Following the introductory film, UC Davis Professor of linguistics, Almerindo Ojeda, who also is the director of the Center for the Study of Human Rights in the Americas, will give a presentation on torture and Guantanamo Bay. The Davis Friends Meeting is sponsoring a weekly vigil, every Saturday, 11 am to noon, at the Downtown G Street Plaza. The silent vigil will carry the message: WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER.
